Ted Weise, former rodeo cowboy and bullfighter, now ordained rodeo cowboy minister, and wife Linda were called out of rice farming in 1988 into full-time ministry to rodeo cowboys. They left a farm in Texas/Louisiana territory plus a thriving ministry to bull riders in the way of buck outs and bible studies, to answer the full-time call to a total faith walk. Rockin' W Rodeo Ministry was formed in 1988 and is a non-profit 501 (c) corporation.
The call was to the dry barren land of Nevada to follow the high school rodeo circuit which spread down into Arizona and eventually California and each summer travels lead all over the nation to the world's largest youth rodeos. In 1999, the trek into pro rodeo in the way of Cowboy hospitalities at Reno, Cheyenne and Ellensberg was received.
